Connection Over Cart: A More Intentional Way to Shop

If you've landed here looking for a big "Shop Now" button or a checkout cart bursting with product listings, I'm about to lovingly disappoint you.
Because here's the thing: I don't run my business that way. And it's completely on purpose.
Welcome to Cove & Clarity, where we do things a little differently. A little slower. A lot more intentional. And with way more bestie energy than corporate algorithm vibes.
Why I Said No to the Traditional E-Commerce Machine
Let me be real with you for a second. When I first started selling jewelry, crystals, and curated pieces that felt meaningful, everyone told me the same thing: "You need a full e-commerce site. Add to cart buttons. Email funnels. Automated checkouts."
And I tried. I really did.
But every time I built that kind of system, something in me just... resisted. It felt cold. Transactional. Like I was putting a wall between me and the people I actually wanted to connect with.

The truth? My Authentic personal branding isn't about creating a flawless storefront. It's about showing up as myself, even when that means doing business in a way that doesn't look like everyone else's playbook.
So I made a choice: I would sell primarily through Poshmark and direct message and invoices, and keep everything simple, personal, and connection-first.
What Shopping With Me Actually Looks Like
Here's how this works, and I promise it's easier than it sounds:
I keep my curated collection on Poshmark. Just click the link, scroll through, and let your intuition guide you. (We'll talk more about how to order in a second.)
I also keep my curated collection by brand in the Look Book Albums at the bottom of the page on my website anafollo.com
What if you dont have Poshmark and see something you love!?
I got you lovie! Just:
🪄💫Screenshot it from the Look Book Album.
📧📲📝Email me. Text me. Message me on Facebook or Instagram. Slide into my DMs like we're already friends, because honestly, that's the energy I'm going for here.
No checkout-cart overwhelm. No abandoned cart guilt. No "Complete Your Purchase!" emails haunting you at 2 a.m.
Just you, me, and a real conversation about what you're drawn to and why.

And here's the beautiful part: when you reach out directly, we get to talk about the details and connect. Maybe it's the color. Maybe it's the energy. Maybe you're building confidence through personal style and you're not sure where to start.
Whatever it is, we get to explore it together. That's the kind of shopping experience I wanted to create, one that feels less like a transaction and more like a conversation with someone who genuinely wants to connect.
Why Poshmark? Why Not Just Build "The Site"?
I get asked this a lot, so let me break it down.
Poshmark gives me simplicity without sacrificing connection. The platform handles the logistics, shipping labels, payment processing, all the behind-the-scenes stuff, even the returns so I can focus on what I actually love: curating pieces that feel meaningful and connecting with the humans who resonate with them.
Plus, there's something about the Poshmark community that just gets it. People browse slowly. They ask questions. They share what they're looking for. It's not a race to the bottom of a sales page, it's an actual space for discovery.
I also get to do Live Selling there and physically be on camera and show you all the beautiful items in our closet in person-live! How cool is that!?
And when it comes to personal branding , that matters to me. Because the way we shop, the way we present ourselves, the pieces we choose to bring into our lives, all of that is part of how we show up in the world.

I wanted a platform that honored and showcased my curating process instead of rushing it.
What You'll Find on My Personal Website
Now this is important, my personal website (www.anafollo.com) is a different kind of space. Think of it as our home base, the place where everything connects.
You'll find:

This blog (Cove & Clarity), where we talk about everything from personal style to energetic alignment to navigating life transitions with a little more grace
Simple ways to contact me directly
No fancy funnels. No pressure. Just resources and connection points so you can engage in whatever way feels right for you.
Because here's what I believe: how we are authentically starts with how and what we choose authentically. And that includes how we choose to shop, browse, and connect with the people behind the brands we support.
The "Bestie Energy" Business Model
I know this approach isn't for everyone. Some people love the efficiency of one-click purchasing. Some people want to add seventeen things to their cart and check out without talking to a single human.
-And that's totally valid.
But if you're here, there's a good chance you're craving something different.
Something that feels more aligned with how you actually want to move through the world.

Maybe you're tired of the hustle-culture version of shopping, the flash sales, the urgency timers, the sales pressure tactics.
Maybe you're building a more intentional life, and you want the way you shop to reflect that.
Maybe you just want to feel seen as more than a credit card number and a shipping address.
That's the energy I'm here for. That's the business model I'm building, one conversation, one connection, one meaningful exchange at a time.
What This Means for Personal Branding (And Why It Matters)
When we talk about authentic personal branding, we're really talking about alignment. Let me just clarify that you don't need to be running a business to think about how you authentically personally brand yourself to the world.
It's about the external matching the internal. It's about showing up in a way that feels true, even when it's unconventional....and doing it again and again until we create an authentic avatar that is in alignment with our highest self. Our true self.
For me, that meant saying no to the "add to cart" machine. For you, it might mean something completely different.
But the principle is the same: authenticity and confidence through personal style comes from making choices that honor who you actually are, not who you think you're supposed to be.
And that goes beyond clothing. It's about how you communicate. How you connect. How you build a life and a presence that feels authentically yours.
